Just checking in with the ol' unit. I see that Allan Johnson's back and has kept up the site as best as possible! And appears to be either an officer or, indeed, the captain! Congrats to Allan! It's long overdue for the ol' boy.

I am still willing to chat with anyone willing to talk to the old captain/lieutenant/first sergeant from back in the day, if anyone wishes to. Maybe some might not...I dunno. But I doubt that.

I have been talking much with Chuck Larrocca, former captain of the 124th NY...I hear they are going to do Brick House this year as a living history, and they've asked me to serve as regimental adjutant for the event. Is anyone from the 8th attending the event of our old comrades in arms? (I might also be attending Cold Spring Village, the weekend after - if my dates are right - in some Union staff capacity, by invite Would very much like to catch up with some of you if at all possible!)
